Crypto Feels Dead… But This Signal Says HUGE Move Coming?

The market has felt flat for months. Three big drawdowns since 2023, altcoins bleeding, and most people tuning out. But the weekly charts just printed something that hasn't shown up in a long time — and it's worth understanding before you decide the market is finished.

The Four Charts Worth Checking Every Week

The video walks through a simple weekly routine: total market cap, MACD, RSI, and volume. Nothing exotic. The point isn't to predict a price — it's to see whether momentum is shifting from sellers to buyers.

MACD is the headline. On the weekly total market cap chart, the lines crossed and the histogram turned green above zero — the first green bar since the last major run that carried the market from roughly 2.44T to 4.27T. The important caveat from the video: weekly bars aren't final until the week closes. A green Monday bar can still finish red by Sunday.

RSI is the second piece. Total market RSI bottomed near 27, a level last seen back in 2022. Oversold doesn't mean "buy now" — it means most of the sellers who wanted out have likely already left, and supply and demand are closer to balance.

Volume is the third, and it's the one that isn't confirming yet. Volume precedes price. During the red decline, volume fell. On the recent green move, volume ticked up but not meaningfully. Two out of three look good; the third still needs to show up. If you want to set up weekly crypto charts with MACD and RSI, the video's layout is easy to recreate in a few minutes.

Why the "Others" Chart Matters More for Altcoin Holders

The TOTAL market includes Bitcoin and Ethereum, which can mask what altcoins are actually doing. The "Others" chart strips out the top 10 and shows roughly 110–120 remaining large caps. And that chart is further along: three weeks of a green histogram after a crossover, RSI lifting off levels last seen in 2023, and volume beginning to build.

In other words, altcoins are currently running about two weeks ahead of the broader market on this signal. If you're tracking the broader rotation, the TOTAL3 altcoin market cap chart explained covers exactly how this index is constructed and why it behaves differently.

Two Confirmations That Haven't Happened Yet

Momentum turning is one thing. Rotation is another. The video points to two ratio charts that decide whether this becomes an actual altcoin move:

Bitcoin dominance. It's been stuck in a 58–60% channel and sits near the top of it. Falling Bitcoin dominance as an altcoin rotation signal is what historically accompanies altcoins outperforming.

ETH/BTC. In 2021, Ethereum outpacing Bitcoin came right before altcoins ran. The ratio has been slowly grinding up for the last 8–10 periods, but there's been no clean upside crossover since May 2025, and before that October 2024. Watching the ETH/BTC ratio for leadership rotation gives you an early read on whether capital is actually moving down the risk curve.

Charting This Yourself

If you want to build this weekly routine, you need charts that hold multiple indicator panes and let you save layouts. TradingView is the platform used throughout the video — the free tier is enough for weekly MACD, RSI, volume, and dominance charts, and alerts on a dominance breakdown or an ETH/BTC crossover save you from staring at screens.

One more note on copy trading from the intro: a trader showing 180% monthly returns with 2,300 copiers and a page full of deep red open positions is not a track record — it's unrealized loss waiting to close. Always check open trades, not just the headline number.
