Your inputs
Enter your account size and the lead trader's stats. The calculator will simulate both copy modes side-by-side.
Side-by-side outcome
Both modes simulated against the same trade sequence.
FIXED AMOUNT Uses the same dollar size every trade. Doesn't compound on the upside, but capped exposure on the downside. Better for new copiers learning a trader's style.
When each mode wins
Pick Propotional when…
You trust the trader, want compounding upside, and your account is large enough that proportional sizing produces meaningful trades. Propotional mirrors the trader's percentage exposure — if they go 30% into a position, you do too. Best for established traders with proven multi-month records.
Pick Fixed Amount when…
You're new to a trader, your account is small, or you want hard caps on per-trade risk. Fixed Amount means $100 in is $100 in — regardless of whether the lead trader yolos 50% of their account. It's the safer onboarding mode.
What is "Propotional ratio"?
It's the size of your account relative to the lead trader's. If they have $300K AUM and you put in $3K, your ratio is 1:100 — every position they open, you open at 1/100th the size. The calculator computes this from your inputs.
Why does Fixed beat Propotional in some cases?
When the trader's average win is smaller than their average loss but they win more often (high win rate, small wins / big losses pattern), Fixed Amount can outperform because you're not scaling exposure up after wins. Propotional wins when the trader's edge is large and durable.
